Chrysoprase Pendant

This one of a kind pendant was designed and hand fabricated here at my in home studio here in Wisconsin. 

Created from Argentium Sterling Silver and Bronze.

Argentium Silver is a modern alloy of Sterling Silver with superior tarnish resistance. It has the same purity as traditional sterling. 

It features a unique chrysoprase doublet cut here in the studio.

Doublets are composite stones made by bonding  a clear quartz cap onto gem materials. These are usually done with opals, but I decided to experiment with making doublets out of various other stones. The quartz cap adds an interesting depth and also casts light into the stone in an interesting way. 

This pendant measures about 1 3/8 x 1 inches and is 1/4 inch thick

My jewelry is made with a satin or semi-flat finish. It's not super shiny, but  has a pleasant sheen to it. I also patina my work to add contrast. This is also know as oxidizing and is a method of intentionally tarnishing to create contrast in recessed or stamped elements and/or to darken the metal. 

This pendant comes with an attached 24 inch high quality stainless steel chain. Chain can be made to length upon request. Contact me when purchasing to request your desired length.
